We are so proud to announce that The Song Room has won the Technology Innovator of the Year Award for our online creative learning hub ARTS:LIVE!
The Australian Not-for-Profit Technology Awards ceremony took place in Brisbane on May 3rd as part of the annual Connecting Up Not-for-Profit Technology Conference. These awards are aimed at rewarding the best uses – and users – of technology for the Australian charity sector. The Song Room’s hard working QLD regional program coordinator, Amelia Kalifa, was on hand to accept the award and fly The Song Room flag on the night.
Innovation in online technology has opened up unprecedented opportunity to address the gap in music and arts skills in schools. Governments and the education sector are beginning to place a higher value on creativity as an essential capability for preparing children for the jobs of the future, however, many schools still focus heavily on STEM subjects and rote learning.
With hundreds of hours of creative educational content, ARTS:LIVE allows children, educators and parents to explore, learn and develop their creative skills easily in the classroom and at home.
